BSI, the business improvement company, today announced the appointment of Thorsten Querfurt as Group Professional Services Director on the Group Executive with immediate effect.
As the Group Professional Services Director, Thorsten will be responsible for shaping and delivering BSI’s strategy for its Professional Services division. This will involve growing its existing consultancy business internationally in three practice areas - Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS); Cybersecurity and Information Resilience (CSIR) and Supply Chain Solutions (SCS).

This new role has been created to provide global leadership for this stream and accelerate the international growth of this business.
“Thorsten will be a great asset to our Group Executive team and I am delighted to welcome him. His experience in leading international Professional Services businesses will help drive BSI to further success.”
Thorsten has spent over 16 years working in and leading international Professional Services business. Prior to joining BSI, he was Head of International Region for Mannaz and was responsible for transforming the business unit he led and before that he was Global Head of Natural Resources Industry for Willis Towers Watson. Thorsten started his career at management consultancy Corven Consulting, which was acquired by Oliver Wyman where he left as Partner of the Energy Practice.

Educated in Germany, Hong Kong and the USA, Thorsten has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Delaware (US) and an MBA from the London Business School (UK).
